An exceptionally smooth gin flavoured with classic dandelion and burdock.
70cl Neutral Grain Spirit 50%vol
300ml distilled water
Juniper Berries - 3g
Dandelion Root - 1g
Cardamom - 0.3g
Orange Peel - 0.4g
Burdock Root - 0.2g
Copper Star Dandelion and Burdock Essence 2ml
Copper Star Red 1ml
Copper Star Green 0.5ml
Weigh out the juniper and other botanicals then grind roughly in a pestle and mortar. Ensure that the skins are broken on all the juniper berries.
Place the ground botanicals into the heating pot of a copper alembic still and add the Neutral Grain Spirit.
Connect the swan neck of the still to the heating pot and connect the condenser. Apply heat and collect the gin distillate into a parrot head measure.
Remove the first 4ml of heads and discard. Collect the distillate hearts until the abv in the parrot head drops to 76% abv.
Bottle the distillate and add the distilled water.
Add the Copper Star colours and flavours and shake well before corking and finishing.
